Who we are

Italy by Run RM is a sole proprietorship based in Venice – Italy aiming to provide running tours in Italy. Our website address is: https://www.italybyrun.com .

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We have two different level of interaction: guest customers and users.

GUEST CUSTOMERS. All customers are identified as guests. When you send a booking request on our website (i.e.: add an item to your cart and/or go through the checkout process) you act as a guest customer and you provide us with personal information that includes your name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number and some payment information linked to your guest customer profile. Even if you aren’t acting as a guest customer, you might choose to provide us with information — like an email address to receive answers or updates about our services.

USERS. Users have an account to log in our website and are specifically administrator and/or contributors roles to provide website contents, design and maintenance services. When you register to use our services by establishing an account, we will collect personal data as necessary to offer and fulfil the services you request.  Depending on the services you choose, we may require you to provide us with your name, postal address, telephone number, email address and identification information to establish an account. We may require you to provide us with additional personal data as you use our services.

We retain personal data in an identifiable format for the least amount of time necessary to fulfill our legal or regulatory obligations and for our business purposes. We may retain personal data for longer periods than required by law if it is in our legitimate business interests and not prohibited by law.

The cookies we use have defined expiration times; unless you visit our sites or use our services within that time, the cookies are automatically disabled and retained data is deleted. See below for the cookies used on our website.

Personal data: this is information that you provide to us which personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, billing information, or other data that can be reasonably linked to such information by Italy by Run, such as information we associate with you as a guest customer.

Guest customer: guest customer means a person’s use of the services without logging into and/or establishing an account.

User: a person that holds an accoount to log in the website. Users typically involve people that act as administrators, webmasters, contributors or authors for our website.

Phone number: a phone number is linked to your account for different purposes across Italy by Run services. For example, your phone number can be used to help people find and connect with you.

Email address: an email address is required for different reasons, first of all to get in touch with the customer in order to finalize the booking requested. It can be used to get in touch with you in order to execute the tour.

Payment information: in case you decide to pay electronically via a payment gateway, we receive from the payment platform the transaction id together with your name and address data to allow us to comply with naitonal billing and fiscal requirements.

Who we share your data with

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
